Is Keswick worth visiting?

We highly recommend taking some time to visit Keswick during a caravan or glamping break at Skelwith Caravan Park. Keswick is one of the major tourist attractions in the Lake District, with plenty to offer visitors, including fantastic shops and interesting attractions and museums. The bustling market town is situated just 10 minutes’ walk from Derwentwater, where you can enjoy a host of scenic boat trips and water-based activities. There is a twice weekly market with vendors selling a selection of local produce as well as plenty of cafes and restaurants to enjoy a tasty meal. In recent years Keswick has become the go to place for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the national park. There is a wide selection of adventure activity providers, offering climbing and watersports excursions. It’s also an excellent starting point for hikers looking to tackle some of the Lake Districts best walking routes.
