January in the Lake District is a time of quiet beauty. The fells are often dusted with snow, the air is crisp, and the stillness of the season settles over the landscape. Here at Skelwith Fold, while the park may seem peaceful, our team is bustling with activity. We are hard at work preparing for what promises to be a spectacular 2026 season.

We have some exciting plans for this year, and we cannot wait to reveal them to you. But before we rush headlong into the new season, we want to take a moment to look back at the memories made in 2025.

Skelwith Fold is Picture Perfect

We often say that you will never forget a visit to Skelwith Fold, and we know that many of you capture those unforgettable moments through your camera lenses. From the vibrant colours of autumn leaves to the sight of a red squirrel pausing on your decking, you see the true soul of our park.

That is why we are launching our “Skelwith Fold is Picture Perfect” campaign.

We are inviting you to send us your favourite photographs from your stays in 2025. We are looking for images that encapsulate the joy of a Skelwith holiday—whether that is a family adventure, a quiet moment in nature, or a stunning view of the Langdales. Anything that reminds you of a great stay at Skelwith Fold, either on the park or from our beautiful surroundings!

The Prize:

The selected winning images will be immortalised as our official 2026 Skelwith Fold Postcards – or even added to our official 2027 calendar. Your photography could be the greeting card that new visitors send to their friends and family next summer, sharing the magic of the Lakes far and wide!
