A friendly welcome and first class facilities await. All set in peaceful, woodland surroundings.

We have been providing some of the best motorhome holidays in the Lake District for many years. Book a stay with us and you can immerse yourself in the acres of woodland which surround our award winning holiday park.

We’re located in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Just a short distance from the popular Lakeland town of Ambleside, Skelwith is ideally situated for you to explore the Lakes. There is so much to see and do in the area.

All our hardstanding pitches are maintained to the highest standards. Choose from either a standard pitch with electric hookup. Or for some extra facilities book a premium pitch. These benefit from fresh water stand pipe, grey waste drain, electric hookup, TV hook-up, extra room and even a picnic table.

If you’re bringing any children along then we’ve got you covered. You’ll be pleased to know that our motorhome pitches are close to the newly refurbished adventure playground. Relax on you pitch knowing that your little ones can safely play, make new friends and enjoy their holiday.

The ancient woodland which surrounds the park is the perfect place to explore. If you are fortunate you may even spot some deer, red squirrels or badgers.

Getting About

As the park is so well connected you can park up your motorhome and not worry about moving it. We are fortunate to have a bus stop right outside our park gates.

By Bus: The local bus system can take you almost anywhere in the National Park for around £8 for an all day travel ticket.

By Bike: Many people booking motorhome holidays with us bring their bicycles. We’re a great base for the short cycle ride to Ambleside via a national cycle route. There are also other routes which take you to Coniston and Bowness.

On Foot: There are lots of great circular walks which start and finish from the park. Explore the woodland trails within the park or for a longer stroll there are two one hour walks which take you outside the park boundaries. Download our app to take a look at the these in detail and find other walks nearby.
