The event prioritises safety, providing advanced life support medics, radio communications, and marshals. The courses are fully waymarked and marshalled, with GPX files available. Ultra event participants must carry mandatory kit, including waterproof gear, a head torch, and a first aid kit.

The event provides professional photo mementos, real-time GPS tracking for the 100k Ultra, electronic chip timing, and feed stations along the routes. The start and finish area in Ambleside will feature entertainment, food stalls, and commentary. The event also promotes sustainable travel, encouraging public transport, car sharing, and cycling.
