Slew Tarn at Skelwith Fold is a peaceful and beautiful spot to take a walk around any time of day. As well as being stunningly picture perfect, it is a great location to see some of the wildlife that makes its home here at Skelwith Fold. From kingfishers and woodpeckers, dragonflies and deer, red squirrels and kites, you can see a whole range of our native lakeland species with a bit of luck and patience.

You can get to the tarn through the woodland walks, which are laid with hardcore to make them more accessible for those with a wheelchair or buggy (but please be aware that this is different from being paved and may still be strenuous for some guests).
