Family Hideaway Pod
Our Family Hideaways are perfect for a comfortable getaway for up to four adults and two children, with a mezzanine loft area featuring single floor beds, a double sofa bed, and a pull-down double bed. The galley-style kitchen comes fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and dishwasher, making mealtimes easy and convenient.
Relax on your private patio with table and chairs, and enjoy the modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. Designed with families in mind, this hideaway combines comfort, style, and practicality for a memorable holiday together. Wagtail and Osprey are both dog friendly!

Our quirky self-catering glamping accommodation offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and fully experience the beauty of The Lakes.
Our luxurious glamping breaks are well suited to both couples, families or friends looking for something a bit different during a holiday near Ambleside. Skelwith’s glamping options are all set in idyllic locations around our woodland holiday park, where you’ll be able to enjoy the surroundings without having to give up on privacy. Unlike tents, you will be able to enjoy the natural landscape regardless of the weather. All of our glamping rentals are finished to a very high standard, for example the Wagtail Hideaway Pod was recently refurbished to house up to four adults, two children and two pets.
Safari Suites
Our brand new luxury honeymoon style safari suites are perfect for you and your partner to get away into the Lake District and make the most of everything on offer. They are built to offer privacy as you look out over the stunning Langdales, some of the most beautiful hills and valleys of the Lakes. With an expansive balcony for you to relax in – including a modern hot tub built right into the decking – you can let yourself melt away into the vista.
The safari suites come fully equipped with everything you need from the bathroom with large walk in shower, to the kitchen with hob, microwave and mini dishwasher. A smart TV in the living room and an amazingly comfortable queen size bed in the bedroom. And did we mention the hot tub on the balcony? It’s sheer bliss! All in the very heart of the Lake District, a stone’s throw from Ambleside and the northern shore of Windermere. The perfect location for your dream Lakeland honeymoon escape.
Safari Tents
Our adventure safari tents are extremely popular. They allow you to experience the best of the outdoors without compromising on style or comfort. They are set in a private woodland glade in a secluded area of the park. Enjoy quiet evenings sat on your private decking watching wildlife explore its natural habitat and make the most of glamping in the Lake District with our safari tents!
Our Lake District safari tents are finished to a high standard with quality fixtures and fittings. There are two bedrooms – a double and a second bedroom with four adult sized single bunks and a four poster double bed. There’s a well equipped kitchenette including dishwasher so you can self cater during your stay. There’s also your own private bathroom with toilet and walk in shower. No need to head out for any late night trips to the loo!
Intimate Hideaway
If you’re looking for a romantic getaway in the Lake District, book a stay at one of our romantic Hideaway glamping pods. Our glamping pod ‘Woodpecker’ is the perfect base for couples to relax, unwind and spend quality time together, experiencing everything the National Park has to offer. We guarantee you’ll have a memorable couples break in The Lakes and will want to return to our glamping park year on year!
The hideaway pod is light, airy and recently upgraded and finished to a high standard throughout. It is well equipped with cosy furniture, modern appliances and everything you’ll need for a short break or extended stay. It’s just like staying in a modern hotel suite relocated to the middle of the countryside! The interior is well thought out to maximise space. There’s a foldaway bed, generous storage and adjustable lighting.
Family Hideaway Pods
Our Family Hideaway pods are the perfect base from which to explore the Lake District National Park. They are furnished to a high standard with a luxury interior and plush soft furnishings, guaranteed to keep you warm and cosy whatever time of year you decide to visit. Each pod has two double beds and can sleep up to four adults with an exciting mezzanine loft space to accommodate up to two children. ‘Wagtail’ pod is dog friendly accepts two pets!
